Meet Jane, Calamity Jane. Yes, she's quite the notorious woman of the West and of course, I found her compelling photo to represent with woodcut.
This is a small edition of 9, printed in my studio on Okawara paper. The image of her photo was my inspiration. I loved her buckskin coat, her ammo belt, and her waistcoat with scarf, not to mention the fur cuffs. It was a joy to produce and the first 2 have already sold. The text around the garment is handwritten in cursive, and is taken from Larry McMurtry's book, Buffalo Girls.
Size of the unframed print is 33"x24". Remaining prints available as of 12/20/25 : 1,7,8,9,AP1/1.
