This is Laure Touchon, nee Cuenod. I refer to her as Laura of the High Desert. My great-grandfather sought her hand in marriage after the village moved from Switzerland to New Mexico. He was 30 years old, while she was just 15. This marked the start of a wonderful and exciting western tale saga that continues to this day.
