This reduction woodcut print of a folk dress with a rose tree and meadow flowers at the hem was inspired by the frescos in the Cripta Peccato in Matera Italy.

The hand written text around the dress is the verse from book of Proverbs, 3: 17-18 in the Hebrew Bible, describing the Tree of Life. "It is a tree of life to all who grasp it, and whoever holds onto it is happy. Its ways are ways of pleasantness and its paths are peace."
